INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
VANITY BASIN INSTALLATION

The following are general instructions for the installation of all imperial vanity basins unless otherwise indicated.

  1. Remove the basin from the carton and check for damage.
  2. Mark the basin cutout on the bench top.
  3. Using a 20mm hole as a starting point, cut the hole and smooth rough edges.
  4. Test that the basin fits snugly. Mark and drill the tap holes.
  5. Apply a bead of waterproof mastic compound around the basin rim before installing. Remove any excess compound after installation.
  6. Insert the two basin clips provided into the fixing slots on the sides of the basin and screw to the bench top. For vanity tops less than 20mm in thickness add a cleat as indicated in the drawing.
  7. Fit the tap set in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. Do not over tighten as this may damage the basin.
  8. Install the waste outlet (not included with the basin). Either a 32mm or 40mm waste may be used. Put a bead of waterproof mastic compound around the outer rim. Do not tighten the back nut to avoid damaging the basin.
